Diamond Grillz Care: Cleaning, Settings and Fit
Caring for diamond grillz means checking the instructions for the complete piece: its stones, settings, metal and finish. A cleaning method used for a diamond ring is not automatically appropriate for jewelry worn in your mouth.
Confirm the cleaning method for your exact piece
Follow instructions specific to your order. Before trying a solution, polishing product or cleaning device, confirm that it is suitable for both the complete piece and its oral use. The ADA warns against jewelry cleaners and products that are dangerous to ingest when caring for grillz. Read the ADA's grillz guidance.
Our care guidance does not prescribe a universal weekly soak, chemical solution or polishing device. If the instructions are unclear, contact Cali Grillz with your order number and product details before proceeding.
Keep the stones, setting and fit in view
If a stone appears loose, a setting looks damaged or the fit has changed, set the piece aside and contact us about assessment. Do not attempt to tighten the setting, bend the piece or attach it with glue.
Ask your dentist about oral symptoms rather than treating a cleaning or jewelry adjustment as dental care. The Oral Health Foundation recommends dental advice for sore gums, swelling, pain or changes to your teeth.
Care includes time out of your mouth
The ADA's oral-jewelry guidance identifies plaque accumulation as a concern and discourages long-term wear. Gold or diamond materials do not remove the need to consider oral health. Read the ADA's discussion of dental grills and oral jewelry.
Remove your grillz for meals and keep up daily cleaning using the appropriate instructions. Review our eating and drinking guidance and speak with your dentist before wearing oral jewelry.
