Different Types of Grillz: Gold, Diamond, Iced Out & More Explained

Types of Grillz: Gold, Diamonds and Tooth Placement

When comparing types of grillz, separate three choices: material, design and coverage. Gold and silver describe the metal. Diamond details describe stones. A single tooth, connected pair, spacer or row describes where the piece sits. Looking at these choices separately makes it easier to find the configuration you want.

Choose the metal and finish

Cali Grillz offers gold and silver options on selected designs. Read each product's material choices and, where available, compare 10K, 14K or 18K gold in the same design and tooth count. The available options vary by piece.

A polished shape, open-face outline and textured finish create different looks. Diamond-cut and diamond-dust names alone do not mean a design contains diamond stones. Check the listed materials before choosing.

Browse gold grillz, design-cut styles and diamond grillz. For a piece with stones, use its actual stone and setting description when comparing options.

Compare tooth coverage and placement

Front-view ordering examples. Gold marks the selected area. These illustrations show placement choices, not finished pieces.

Single tooth

One front tooth highlighted

Choose one tooth in the selected row.

Connected pair

Two adjacent front teeth highlighted

Choose two adjacent teeth. They do not have to include a fang.

Gap spacer

Gap between the two front teeth highlighted

Choose the space between teeth, rather than a tooth.

Make your selection on the product page, following its row and orientation labels. Review the written placement summary before adding to cart.

Design What you choose
Single-tooth piece The row and individual tooth requested by that product's placement selector.
Connected pair Two adjacent teeth for designs made as a connected pair. Check the specific product's requirements.
Spacer or gap filler The gap between teeth where the design will sit.
One-row design Top or Bottom where offered, plus the tooth count specified by that product.
Top-and-bottom configuration The selected tooth count for each row and the required both-row mold kit.

Connected pairs can sit away from the fang

The Natural Diamond Trim, Open Face with Diamond Trim and Diamond Open Face Fang with Engraving designs require two connected teeth. Those adjacent teeth do not have to include the fang. Use the placement choices on the specific product page.

A spacer selects a gap

For a design such as the Solid Heart Spacer, select the gap between teeth. Check the row and the written placement summary after using the illustration.

Check your selection before ordering

Follow the orientation labels on the product's placement illustration and review its written summary. Check the same details in your cart, including the row, tooth count or gap where applicable. If the placement you want is unclear, contact our team with the product link before purchasing.

The required mold kit costs $11 for one row or $22 for both rows, for each product. Your selected grillz, kit and any paid customizations belong in the complete budget.
